A few months ago, I set out on an exciting new professional path. In 2014, I retired from teaching high school after 34 years. In those first few months after I retired, I began a blog designed to help people live their best life. I didn’t realize it at the time, but my teaching and this blog would lead me to this new professional path. I’d like to share this new path with you.

For the past few months, I’ve been discovering how to help people who are interested in learning how to transform their lives. After years of reading and research in the areas of psychology, nutrition, health, and human behavior, I realized that it’s time to use this passion to help others make the changes they want in their lives. I want to share with you the skills I have learned so that you can transform your life.

SO, I am officially launching myself as a Life and Health Coach.

Here’s what that means . . .

Life places relentless demands on us and can find us struggling to live our best life. We wrestle to make lasting changes even when we know that the changes would positively impact our lives. Why? Because our old habits have a strong pull on us. When the changes no longer seem to work, we start looking for something better – something that will motivate us to change.

We don’t always know what to do to change our lives, but we often find ourselves stuck in a rut, not knowing how to get out of it. Ninety-five percent of our behavior occurs out of habits we have learned throughout our lives, either unconsciously or in reaction to external demands.

That’s why we struggle to make changes that last. Even when the need for change is obvious and our intentions are strong, we often fall short.

That’s a problem.

As we struggle to reduce stress, lose weight, sleep better, and live the best life possible, the diet industry and medical professionals advise is to, “Eat fewer calories and exercise more.”

If that worked for everyone, it would have worked for you.

Did you know that the average person makes the same New Year’s resolution ten separate times without success?

Did you know that 98% of all dieters regain the weight they lost and sometimes more?

Why is that?

It’s because many people don’t have support or accountability.

Most doctors, dietitians, and other practitioners either don’t have the time or don’t have the skills to help people stay motivated and follow through to get lasting results. So, people default to their set habits, even when they know those habits make them feel lousy.

Without the right support and accountability, this dysfunctional cycle continues and, in many cases, will just get worse.

That’s where Life & Health Coaches like me come in. We strive to provide the right SYSTEM, SUPPORT, and ACCOUNTABILITY so you can – finally – make a total transformation.

Here’s what I’ve got for you . . .

One of the most fascinating things about coaching is that it’s never about me, the coach. It’s always about you, the client, and what you want to achieve in your life.
